The School believes that outstanding pastoral care is the key to a successful school.
The Harvey’s care and guidance system fully supports the emotional and social wellbeing of all pupils.
At the heart of this is the House system, whereby the School is divided into four Houses – Discovery, Endeavour, Resolution and Victory. Each House is led by a Head of House, who is a member of the Leadership Team, supported by a pastoral team charged with ensuring the welfare of all pupils.
There will be many opportunities for pupils to develop their personal and social skills such as teamwork and leadership through the House system. The social growth of pupils is an important part of their overall education and the School aims to produce well-rounded citizens who are ready to take their place in society.
“Procedures to support students are effective and contribute significantly to their confidence and self-esteem as well as their good behaviour. Engagement with parents is outstanding.” – Ofsted
